More than three weeks after the blockbuster trade sending him to the Los Angeles Lakers, former Magic center Dwight Howard has finally broken his silence regarding Orlando, as he took out a full-page ad in Sunday's Orlando Sentinel to thank Orlando and Magic fans.
In part, Howard says that "the opportunity to play for the Orlando fans for eight years was truly a privilege and an honor."
Buying the newspaper ad may not be enough for Magic fans to forgive Howard for everything he has put the franchise through in the last year. There certainly were enough distractions that he has provided with his near-constant waffling and changing his mind about whether he would be willing to commit to the Magic for the future or not.
Here is the link to Sentinel writer Josh Robbins' story and also the ad.
