The Orlando Magic will begin its 24th season at home against the Denver Nuggets on Friday, November 2nd at 7 PM as the NBA announced the 2012-13 season schedule Thursday evening. After a Sunday, November 4th home game against the Phoenix Suns, the Magic go on the road for the first time on Tuesday, November 6th, at the Chicago Bulls.
Other highlights of the schedule:
-The Magic play the World Champion Miami Heat four times, with the first game on Monday, December 31st, in Orlando.
-Western Conference Champion Oklahoma City Thunder will make its only appearance in Orlando on Friday, March 22nd.
-The Magic are not scheduled to play on Thanksgiving, Christmas, Or New Year's Day.
-The Magic are scheduled to play on ESPN only twice, on November 16th at the Detroit Pistons and at home against the Golden State Warriors on December 14th.
-All Magic games will be televised locally by Fox Sports Florida.
-The Magic's longest homestand will be five games from November 21-30, while they will have three season-long five-game road trips from December 2-9, January 28-February 4, and March 30-April 7.
-The Magic will play 13 sets of back-to-back games.
