According to ESPN's Ric Bucher, the Cleveland Cavaliers have emerged as a facilitator in a potential trade that would send Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Bucher writes that the Cavaliers would acquire Lakers' center Andrew Bynum for a package of draft picks and power forward Anderson Varejao. The Lakers would receive Howard for Bynum, while the Magic would get Varejao and draft picks.
Bucher says that a source familiar with the talks says this was merely the framework of a deal being discussed, with the source cautioning not to make too much of this development just yet.
