The Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers have had preliminary trade discussions regarding trading Dwight Howard to L.A., reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. Representatives from the Brooklyn Nets and Houston Rockets have also been in contact with the Magic to discuss a trade for the All-NBA center.

Wojnarowski says the only scenario in which Orlando sends Howard to Los Angeles is one in which it'd receive All-Star center Andrew Bynum in return.

After waiving his right to become a free agent in March, Howard has again changed his mind, indicating to new Magic General Manager Rob Hennigan during a Friday meeting that he no longer wants to play for Orlando, according to reports.

The Nets are Howard's preferred destination, but don't have many attractive assets to offer the Magic. Howard would hate to go to Houston, but the Rockets are nonetheless "determined," Wojnarowski says, to land him. The Rockets can offer a package around young point guard Kyle Lowry, the expiring contract of Kevin Martin, and prospects still on their rookie deals.
