The Orlando Magic have selected Andrew Nicholson with the 19th pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.

Nicholson, a 6-foot-9 power forward from St. Bonaventure, averaged 18.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and two blocks in the 2012 season, shooting 57.1 percent from the floor. He joins Glen Davis and Justin Harper among Magic power forwards under contract for the 2012/13 season; starter Ryan Anderson is a restricted free agent and could return to the team.

Nicholson played four seasons at St. Bonaventure, earning All-Atlantic-10 honors in each season. In his senior season, he captured the Atlantic 10 Player of the Year award.

Derek Bodner of DraftExpress touts his excellent back-to-basket game. The Magic had him in for a workout in late May.

The Magic's next selection, unless they trade it, is 49th overall.

The 2012 Draft is Orlando's first under new General Manager Rob Hennigan, who took the job just over a week before it started. Hennigan replaces Otis Smith.
