Dwight Howard may want a trade from the Orlando Magic--a report Thursday afternoon indicated as much--but he's unlikely to get it during Thursday's NBA Draft. Sam Amick of Sports Illustrated describes the Magic as having "a collective yawn" about the idea of trading Howard on Draft night. "It certainly doesn't sound like Howard will be dealt tonight, or anytime soon," writes Amick.
The Houston Rockets have made two trades in recent days in an attempt to strengthen their trade assets in a push for Howard, or perhaps another star, but Amick makes it sound like Orlando isn't impressed with what Houston can offer.
The Magic own the 19th and 49th overall picks in the NBA Draft, their first under Rob Hennigan as General Manager. In a meeting with the media Wednesday, Hennigan said, "We’re looking for players who love basketball and are committed to being a part of something that is greater than themselves."
