Word on which NBA Draft prospects the Orlando Magic like has been hard to come by, but Sam Amick of Sports Illustrated reports one player on Orlando's radar is Baylor Bears forward Perry Jones III. A 6-foot-11 power forward, Jones averaged 13.5 points and 7.6 rebounds per game for Baylor in his sophomore season, shooting 50 percent from the field overall.
SB Nation's Jonathan Tjarks ranks Jones as the Draft's second-best power forward prospect, behind only Anthony Davis, the surefire no. 1 overall selection. Tjarks says Jones "is one of the most talented big men to come into the NBA in a long time" and wonders how Jones and Davis might have been viewed differently if they had swapped teams.
Orlando owns the 19th overall selection, and Jones may well be on the board: "a meniscus issue" has caused his stock to fall, reports Chad Ford of ESPN.
