The Oklahoma City Thunder and Miami Heat begin the 2012 NBA Finals on Tuesday night in one of the most hotly anticipated championship series in recent memory.
Both teams overcame the odds to get to the Finals. Miami battled back from a 3-2 deficit against the Boston Celtics in the East Finals, while the Thunder won four straight against the San Antonio Spurs after falling into an 0-2 hole. By defeating the Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers, and Dallas Mavericks en route to the Finals, Oklahoma City has knocked off the franchises that have won 11 of the last 13 NBA titles.
Tipoff between the Thunder and the Heat is set for 9 PM on ABC.
