Orlando Magic small forward Hedo Turkoglu has been suspended one game without pay for making contact with a game official during Thursday's victory against the Chicago Bulls, the NBA announced late Friday afternoon. Turkoglu is set to miss the Magic's next game, Sunday at home against the Indiana Pacers.

After missing a layup with 3:47 to play in regulation, Turkoglu tried to argue with referee Karl Lane that Bulls center Joakim Noah fouled him on the play. Turkoglu grabbed Lane by the shoulders, earning an automatic technical foul from the rookie referee. SB Nation has an animation of the encounter.

Kyle Korver made the ensuing free throw to tie the score at 89, but Orlando went on to win by a 99-94 final, ending Chicago's eight-game winning streak.

Turkoglu is averaging 11.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 4.7 assists for the Magic during the 2011/12 season, shooting 40.2 percent from the field and 35.5 percent on three-pointers. He has missed just two of the Magic's 41 games to date.
