NBA All-Star Odds 2012: Anthony Morrow Favored in Three-Point Shootout, Ryan Anderson Not Far Behind

The oddsmakers in Las Vegas have made their picks in the Three-Point Shootout at NBA All-Star Weekend 2012. New Jersey Nets guard Anthony Morrow, the career leader among active players in three-point percentage, is the favorite, owning 5/2 odds. Defending champion James Jones of the Miami Heat and Ryan Anderson of the host Orlando Magic aren't far behind, with each player having 3/1 odds to win. The other entrants--Mario Chalmers of the Heat, Joe Johnson of the Atlanta Hawks, and Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves--have 6/1 odds.

In addition, Vegas has handicapped the Sprite Slam Dunk contest, the other headline event on All-Star Saturday Night. New York Knicks guard Iman Shumpert, who will receive an assist from sensation Jeremy Lin on his dunks, is the favorite, with 3/2 odds. The three other competitors are high-flying forwards, though Vegas doesn't regard them as equals: Paul George of the Indiana Pacers has 2/1 odds, Minnesota's Derrick Williams has 3/1 odds, and Chase Budinger of the Houston Rockets has 5/1 odds.

All-Star Saturday Night begins at 8 Eastern on February 25th. TNT will provide television coverage in the United States.
