The Orlando Magic continue their first Western roadtrip of the season Wednesday night when they visit the Utah Jazz at EnergySolutions Arena. Tipoff is set for 9 PM Eastern on Fox Sports Florida in the Orlando market. The Orlando Pinstriped Post GameThread will appear at 7 PM in this StoryStream and on the cover.
Orlando opened its trip in exciting fashion with wins against the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors on back-to-back nights. Arron Afflalo and Glen Davis have averaged 26 and 23.5 points, respectively, to anchor an Orlando offense that's come alive on the trip, particularly with J.J. Redick in the game instead of starting small forward Maurice Harkless.
The Jazz are coming off their first loss at EnergySolutions Arena, and their third straight overall, having dropped a 105-104 decision to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday. Clippers guard Chauncey Billups flopped on a three-point attempt and tied the score at 99 by hitting two of the three ensuing free throws, and then Chris Paul sank the go-ahead layup with 39.9 seconds remaining to give L.A. the lead for good. Utah fell despite holding a 10-point lead when the fourth quarter began.
The Magic haven't won in Salt Lake City since December 13th, 2008, when Hedo Türkoğlu and Rashard Lewis combined for 50 points on 16-of-32 shooting.
