After one game away from home, the Orlando Magic return to Amway Center on Sunday to host the Utah Jazz. Tipoff is set for 6 PM Eastern on Fox Sports Florida in the Orlando market. The Orlando Pinstriped Post GameThread will appear at 4 PM in this StoryStream and on the cover.
Orlando's last time out: Orlando's four-game winning streak came to an end Friday evening at Air Canada Centre against the Toronto Raptors in the Magic's first game without starting power forward Glen Davis, who is out indefinitely due to a sprained left shoulder. Toronto built a lead as large as 11 points on several occasions, but Orlando scored 10 straight at one juncture of the fourth quarter to get close. Despite 26 points from Arron Afflalo and double-doubles from Nikola Vučević and Gustavo Ayón, Toronto held on for the win.
Utah's last time out: The Jazz lost their second straight game, and their fourth in their last five overall, on Saturday night against the Miami Heat. Star center Al Jefferson shot just 2-of-8 from the floor for six points for his second consecutive scoring performance in single-digits. Miami outscored Utah in every quarter and limited it to 41.1 percent shooting from the field.
The last meeting: Utah dealt the Magic an 87-81 defeat at EnergySolutions Arena on December 5th. Orlando trailed throughout until a fourth-quarter rally which fell short thanks to a timely three-pointer from Randy Foye and two post scores from Jefferson. The teams combined to miss 23 of the 25 triples they attempted.
