Andrew Nicholson will replace Glen Davis in the Orlando Magic's starting lineup for Orlando's game against the Toronto Raptors on Friday, reports Brian Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel. The start will be a career-first for Nicholson, who hails from Mississauga, just outside Toronto.
Nicholson has appeared in 24 of the Magic's 25 games in his first season from St. Bonaventure, averaging 7.4 points and 3.2 rebounds in 14.6 minutes. In his first game against his hometown team, Nicholson posted eight points and three rebounds on 2-of-7 shooting.
Davis sprained his left shoulder in Orlando's victory against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday. Though he will not require surgery, Davis will rest and rehabilitate the shoulder. Orlando has not set a timetable for his return.
Tipoff between Orlando and Toronto is set for 7 PM on Fox Sports Florida.
