The Orlando Magic host the Washington Wizards, losers of four straight games, Wednesday night at Amway Center. Tipoff is set for 7 PM Eastern on Fox Sports Florida in the Orlando market. The Orlando Pinstriped Post GameThread will appear at 5 PM in this StoryStream and on the cover.
Orlando has won its last three games to improve to 11-13, within striking distance of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. It picked up arguably its most impressive win on the season in its last outing, a 102-93 triumph over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night. Minnesota led by 15 points in the third quarter, but the Magic rallied to victory behind Glen Davis, who scored 20 of his game-high 28 points in the second half. The Timberwolves managed just 32 second-half points as Orlando tightened the screws defensively.
At 3-19, Washington is an absolutely miserable ballclub, but one that's a bit better than its record suggests. The Wizards are winless in four tries in overtime games and have a 1-3 record in contests decided by three points or fewer. Bullets Forever, SB Nation's Wizards blog, broke down how the Wizards faltered in Tuesday's overtime loss to the Atlanta Hawks.
