Sunday night, Arron Afflalo got the ball on the fast break and saw his Orlando Magic didn't exactly have numbers.
He didn't exactly care, either. Afflalo led a one-on-three break into the teeth of the Phoenix Suns' transition defense, bowled over Goran Dragić, scooped in a righty layup, and drew the foul. His acrobatic finish brought Orlando to within three points of the visiting Suns, 71-68, and the free throw could close the gap by another point.
He drained the free throw to keep Orlando's momentum building. The Magic would go on to outscore Phoenix, 40-20, in the third period to take command of the game, one in which they trailed by as many as 14 points in the first half. Afflalo scored 10 of his season-high 22 points in the third quarter as the Magic surged into control.
