Following an emphatic season-opening victory, the Orlando Magic host the Phoenix Suns at Amway Center this Sunday afternoon. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 PM Eastern.
The Magic dealt the Denver Nuggets a 102-89 defeat in their season-opener behind a combined 50 points from Glen Davis and J.J. Redick. Denver opened the game as six-point favorites, but Orlando took control by building a 21-point lead in the first half. The news wasn't all rosy for the hosts: starting small forward Hedo Türkoğlu broke his left hand in the third quarter, and starting two-guard Arron Afflalo missed 10 of his 13 shot attempts in his Magic début.
Phoenix, which is moving on after trading Steve Nash to the Los Angeles Lakers, improved to 1-1 on the season on Friday with a 92-89 win against the Detroit Pistons. Former Magic center Marcin Gortat tallied 16 points and 16 rebounds in the win. Sunday's game will be its first on the road of the 2012/13 season.
The Suns have lost each of their last four road games in Orlando.
