Mired in a five-game losing streak, the Orlando Magic have a great chance to get back in the win column Friday night when they visit the Detroit Pistons at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Tipoff is set for 7:30 PM on Fox Sports Florida in the Orlando market. The Orlando Pinstriped Post GameThread will go live at 5:30 PM in this StoryStream and on the cover.

Wednesday evening, Detroit became the league's second-slowest team to pick up its first victory, blowing out the Philadelphia 76ers, 94-76, to improve to 1-8 on the season. Greg Monroe led the way with 19 points, 18 rebounds, and six assists, while three other Pistons scored at least 15 points. Detroit limited Philly to 29.8 percent shooting.

Orlando has had two days to recover since its last outing, a 99-89 loss to the New York Knicks. The Magic hung tough for three quarters, only to self-destruct in a flurry of turnovers and bad misses in the final 12 minutes. Seven Magic players scored in double-figures; J.J. Redick led the charge with 18 points.
