For the first time in Orlando Magic history, the team will broadcast each of its games in Spanish on ElOrlandoMagic.com, the Magic announced Tuesday. Previously, the team broadcast select games in Spanish via television. Tuesday's announcement indicates all of Orlando's games will be available in Spanish.
Joey Colón will provide commentary for the games. In addition to serving as the Magic's Spanish-language commentator for the last 14 seasons, he has also served as the sports director for WBHS, WONQ, and WBDN. He also has experience calling Olympic events for the Puerto Rican National Team.
The Magic launched ElOrlandoMagic.com in 2010 in an effort to better connect with their Hispanic fans. According to the team, ElOrlandoMagic.com "features original content and coverage of the Magic, including in-depth game coverage, breaking news, features, video clips, photo galleries, podcasts, press releases and team information in Spanish."
