Although the Orlando Magic (1-0) went 2-6 in the preseason, tonight's opener reflected more positives than negatives.

The Magic start off the season right with their first win and handed the Denver Nuggets, featuring the former 76ers swingman Andre Iguodala, (0-2) their second consecutive loss of the season.

Orlando shot 48.8-percent from the field while holding Denver to shoot 38.1-percent.

It wasn't just the defense that helped the Magic, but rather Glen Davis' double-double (29 points, 10 rebounds) was effective enough to give Denver some trouble. He carried the team's load by making 13 of 25 from the field, in addition to recording two blocks.

Off the bench J.J. Redick gave a nice lift with 15 points in the first half and added six more during the second half. He also handed out six assists and didn't commit a single turnover.

E'Twaun Moore saw playing time and recorded 24 minutes while also having an efficient game (six-of-10 from the field) scoring 13 points of his own.

Here is the final box score for tonight's game:

Final - 11.2.2012 1 2 3 4 Total
Denver Nuggets 18 19 31 21 89
Orlando Magic 29 29 20 24 102
