New Orlando Magic License Plate Benefits Orlando Magic Youth Foundation

The Orlando Magic have announced the release of a new specialty license plate, pictured above, now available at authorized motor-vehicle offices. A portion of the proceeds from sale of the new plates will benefit the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation.

The plate features the word FLORIDA, in black and rendered in the Magic's signature font, across the top. The team's full logo appears on the left third of the plate, with the plate no. itself occupying the right-most two-thirds. The words ORLANDO MAGIC YOUTH FOUNDATION, in blue and also in the Magic's font, run across the bottom. The plate's most striking detail is the inclusion of the team's partial trailing basketball logo, which serves as a giant backdrop, and is nearly transparent.

For the last 21 years, the OMYF has endeavored to "[help] children in Central Florida realize their full potential, especially those most at-risk, by supporting programs and partnerships that empower families and change lives." According to the team, the OMYF has raised more than $16 million to benefit "local non-profit community agencies serving at-risk youth through programs focusing on education, arts and reducing childhood obesity."
