The Orlando Magic aim to pick up their first road victory of the season Friday when they visit the Charlotte Bobcats on the second night of a back-to-back set. Tipoff is set for 7 Eastern at Time Warner Cable Arena.
Orlando point guard Jameer Nelson, who suffered a neck injury in Thursday's win against the New Jersey Nets, might not be able to play, which could press Chris Duhon into the Magic's starting lineup, lead to some point guard minutes for Hedo Turkoglu, and could mean an expanded role for Larry Hughes.
Charlotte gave the Miami Heat all they could handle Wednesday night, but fell by a 96-95 final as Dwyane Wade hit the game-winning shot. Its starting backcourt of Gerald Henderson and D.J. Augustin combined for 41 points, while first-round draft choice Kemba Walker added 14 off the bench. The Bobcats finally have some offensive firepower, though turnovers and a lack of foul-drawing still leave them below the league average in efficiency.
