Reports: Orlando Magic to Host 2012 NBA All-Star Game

The Orlando Magic have called a news conference for 3 PM today at Amway Center to make a "major announcement," and now both BrightHouse Sports and the Orlando Sentinel report the event will reveal that the NBA has chosen Orlando to host the 2012 NBA All-Star Game. When the Sentinel asked for comment, the Magic declined.

Orlando last hosted All-Star Weekend in 1992, which was especially memorable due to the return of Magic Johnson, who had retired prior to the season due to contracting HIV. He garnered MVP honors as the West crushed the East by a 153-113 final.
