The irony of it all, huh? We used to have a productive Hedo, they used to have a lazy Vince, and now the roles have reversed. Oh well, Go Magic!

I liked that read, despite ripping into our beloved Hedo.

anyway, despite having the same name, the Raptors’ Hedo is not the Magic’ Turk. Different number, fatter salary, and most importantly different responsibility and expectation.

Imagine Rashard with his contract in a non-playoff team. He’d be ripped like that guy has done to Turk. Somewhat SVG’s system and the other Magic players (especially Dwight) covered up his deficiencies, whilst maximising his abilities. This meant whilst the others went toe to toe with the opposition in the first three quarters, Hedo could take a nap whilst Dwight took care of the guy who just drove past Hedo, and the others would take up the scoring slack. Then if all was well, he’d wake up and score a big 3, or handle the ball creating a mismatch.

Anyway finally like the guy said, Hedo’s not exactly the most lively guy, and when you perennially suck like the Raptors, you can’t just go “meh”

I’d much rather deal with Vince for another year or two than deal with Hedo and his bad contract for another 5 years while his skill set rapidly deteriorates with age. I love how most non-Magic fans think we’re going to suck without Hedo because it will be that much sweeter when we prove the world wrong AGAIN!
