Amar'e repeats earlier take (diss?) on Dwight Howard: "Offensively, he’s a little limited, so we’re going to use that to our advantage."

It's booked

Signed sealed and delivered. My friend and I were just arguing over this point. He thinks Amar’e is better than Dwight. Also thinks if Kobe was on the Cavs the last two years, they win the Finals. And if Wilt Chamberlin played in today’s NBA he would suck. Is it pointless to argue with stupid?

With that kind of stupid? Yes.

Wow.

I love Amare, but...

He deserves one of Dwight’s trademark elbows to the face.

Wow Amare, really?

And here I thought you had a brain.

this better ignite Dwight...

I hope he has a massive game and sends Amare’s shots into the O Zone but Ihope he doesn’t try and force his offence. All I want is a W.

Blue and White Ignite..... BOOM!

Besides Amar'e talking silly trash, I have to say I was quite impressed with the

come back they pulled on the Heat. And even though I believe they are a little overrated right now,It’s going to be a good game and a nice test for us.

Don't mind my spelling. I'm a Typo Master.

Even with Dwight's offense being "limited"....

it still doesn’t take him 20 shots to score 18 points.

Me as a reporter asking questions:

Me:“So Amar’e how was your NBA Finals experience? Didn’t go to any? But how can a team of you Steve Nash, Young Joe Johnson, a young Shawn Marion not go? Whats that? Oh your defense is limited. Ok. Well surely you must lead the league in 20 pt 20 rbs games. Wait you don’t? Well let’s increase the points since you do that so well. And we will lower the rebounds too, you know because you are limited. Oh wait you don’t in that either? Strange. Couldn’t sworn it said High Schooler from Orlando. Oh wait, I’m sorry. Former high school who currently plays in Orlando. Isn’t that Dwight Howard? Hmmm interesting. Well, let me go interview the real beast of the East. Why? Because he is faaaaaast.”

I try not to be too homer esque

But this whole is Amar’e better than Dwight argument gets me fired up. It is not even close. He literally has anchored a top 5 defense for the last four years. He litreally has turned the following players into decent defenders: JJ Redick, Vince Carter, Rashard Lewis, Hedo Turkoglu, Jameer Nelson. Not exactly the the All-NBA team. Yes part of it is SVG’s system, but it only works if Dwight is the center. Our entire defense would have to change if Amar’e was our center.

by Mateo9399 on Dec 30, 2025 8:55 AM EST up reply actions

What defense if Amar'e was the center?

Brandon Bass and Ryan Anderson are special in their own ways. OK?

Meet molehill. Pot, this is Mr. Kettle.

Amar’s just hyping a little. Should be a good contest.

But they still can’t stop him[Dwight].
