We got a taste of some humble pie last nite tweeps. Sucks that we picked last nite for it to happen. We will learn from it and get better. It only counts as 1 loss for us and 1 win for them. We did NOT play Magic basketball last nite and that is the result. We owe magic fans far better and u guys will get that the rest of the way!

lol

a team that was assembled 2 months ago beat the crap out of our so called title contending team. no way we beat them in a 7 game series. i,m not even going to talk about beating boston or l.a. cause it is NOT going to happen. but hey we will get to see some great regular season ball.

It has 3 F'n Superstars in the NBA,

The Celts have 4, nearly 5 if with Perkins. Tell me, what team doesn’t play terrible to them.

who would of thought we would be arguably the greatest of all time
around here we developed such a sound down here
but duplicate it off the steel it can only be found here

The Celtics have tons of all stars and former superstars

Rondo, Allen, Pierce, Garnett, Shaq. This looks like an all star starting five if you roll back a few years. Their experience is still there while being less athletic. To underrate that is to commit suicide.

We need a better PG to exploit Miami weaknesses

We need to trade 2 or 3 of our very good players for one great player. That new player should be a point guard. You don’t want to exchange punches with the best boxer, you need to be smart to win. We need to exploit their weakness: PG and C, that should be it, PG-C pick & rolls and eventually a pass for the open 3. Why would you go ahead and crash against the Lebron wall when you can take Arroyo freeway? There´s no point in believing in “a new Vince Carter” or in getting any other wing player, they are not going to win their individual battle against Wade, Bosh and Lebron. What we need is just 3 blue collar players that can defend along Dwight and the PG, who are the ones that should carry the bulk of our offense. That’s why CP3 would fit so nicely. Of course, getting CP3 or Deron Williams is not exactly a piece of cake.

Give them a chance

Early on last season we played OKC, and they blew us out. The team got a lot of criticism for that; that was before everyone realized they were a pretty good team. I’m going to chalk this one up as being caught off guard by how good they can actually be, and hope for a different result next time. I hope they really did learn something, because the squad we have should be able to beat any team on any given night.

Why

Does it have to be black or white? Why do you either have to be an outrageous homer, or throwing the team in the bin?

Q-Rich played well last night

I like him in our lineup. Should have got the contract Duhon got.

I like Q too but he stunk like everyone else Friday. 0-5.

Nobody shot well

He played hard.

by eltharion_doa on Oct 31, 2025 4:00 PM EDT up reply actions

no one is throwing our team in the garbage here.

we just understand that we are the fourth best team in the nba.there is nothing wrong with that either.after this season(i hope) it will become clear that shooting threes will not win championships.playing hard nose defense and taking the ball to the hoop does.i hope to be proved wrong by the magic.

by magicman775 on Oct 30, 2025 7:31 PM EDT reply actions

Shooting threes does win championships

Missing them doesn’t.

You know what won Miami that game? Three consecutive three pointers to start the second half. Blew the scoreline out and broke the spirit of the Magic.

Lol pt. 2

Magicman, your statements are confusing, and frankly your arguements contain very little logic. The arguement of “a team that was assembled 2 months ago beat the crap out of our so called title contending team” so there is no way we can beat an “elite” team only highlights this point. Need I point to the Cavs whose team was completely “disassembled” in 2 hours beating the “elite” Celtics just this week. As other posters have said, this is one game and there are nights when things will go poorly or well for every team in the NBA. This is why the game is played. Considering the magic were a top 2 defense in the league last year, and tbe fact that “hard nosed defense wins champipnships” the whole doomsday theory is a bit premature…
I just have a problem with you speaking for all of magic nation in saying “we realize we are the 4th best team” and then following it up with hoping the magic prove you wrong…. You can’t refer to the magic as “we” and then make it a “the magic” vs. You conflict. It is fine to have unbiased basketball conversation, but there is no need to make offhanded comments with little facts solely to get a rise out of people.

The Celtics should retire from the NBA after losing to the Cavs

That is - judging by what people say around here.

by Raptorel on Oct 31, 2025 6:02 AM EDT up reply actions

Look at the blueprint of how the Celtics beat the Heat

Granted Miami played a lot better… but Jameer was nowhere close to the efficient passing of Rondo. We needed perimeter shooting … well like Eddy said the team had no one but Bass and Howard

0-9, 3 turnovers, 6 fouls in 25 minutes.

I don’t know about you but I prefer the “unmotivated” Rashard Lewis.
