Robbins: Jason Williams and Daniel Orton Join the Orlando Magic's Practice Today

Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports point guard Jason Williams and center Daniel Orton joined the Orlando Magic during their three-hour, non-contact practice today.

Williams underwent surgery on his left knee last month to clear some debris. It's possible he could be available for this Thursday's season opener against the Washington Wizards.

Today's practice, Robbins says, was the first for the rookie Orton since joining the Magic after one year at Kentucky. Though the 29th overall selection in this year's Draft is not injured, the club had held him out of action so he could strengthen the muscles in his left knee, as he explained during Media Day. Last week, the Sentinel's Brian Schmitz wrote the team "regretted" letting Orton play during July's Pro Summer League.

Orton seems to be happy to return to the court. "Got to practice today! Yessir! Had a good practice!" he wrote on his Twitter account eariler this afternoon.
