Orlando Magic News for October 19th: Doubting the Team's Ability to Find Minutes for Brandon Bass and Ryan Anderson; Evaluating Malik Allen and Stanley Robinson; and More

The Sentinel's Zach McCann doesn't buy the idea that Stan Van Gundy will be able to play Ryan Anderson and Brandon Bass every night, "based on simple mathematics." There aren't enough minutes available, says McCann.

John Denton reports that the Magic "have begun discussions about the final roster slot, but have yet to make a decision." Their options are veteran big man Malik Allen and rookie pogo-stick Stanley Robinson. Of Robinson, Van Gundy says, "he’s a talented guy and the question is do we pay the money to see where he can get to."

J.E. Skeets of The Basketball Jones previews the Magic's coming season in this video, which runs just under three minutes. "Orlando suddenly feels like the forgotten stepchild of the bunch," Skeets says, "But don't be fooled: this Magic squad can beat anyone over a seven-game series."
