It's time for the first installment in our regular T-Mobile Player of the Week feature. Although the Orlando Magic failed to gain any momentum last week, dropping 2 of their 3 games and falling to second place in the Southeast Division, they still had one bright spot: the consistent and productive play of Matt Barnes, whose performance last week garnered him this award.

Though Dwight Howard scored more points (on 2 fewer shot attempts), grabbed more rebounds, dished more assists, and blocked more shots, Barnes' effort was more consistent and his play proved to be more valuable. He also demonstrated some leadership after the last game of the week, an embarrassing loss to the undermanned Portland Trail Blazers, when he called out his teammates for their complacency: "Talk is cheap. We gotta knock people down like they're knocking Dwight down."
