Tonight at the Amway Arena, the Orlando Magic will put their 6-game winning streak on the line against the Toronto Raptors, who are on a 4-game streak of their own. Scott Carefoot of RaptorBlog says it's an emptry streak, since the wins have come against "terrible to mediocre" teams, but it's a streak nonetheless. With the Raptors playing at their highest level this season, they might be in position to steal one from the Magic.
UPDATE: here's Carefoot's take on tonight's game:
This isn't a Cavs or Lakers home game — it's actually possible for a decent team to go into Orlando and steal a win. So is this healthy Raptors squad — as it's currently comprised — actually decent? More importantly, can they convince me that they shouldn't be broken up after this season?
Of particular concern must be Raptors forward Chris Bosh, who has averaged 24.2 points and 12.4 boards on 50% shooting in Toronto's last 5 games. His mastery of the Magic is well-documented, so it suffices to say a peaking Bosh and a streaking Raptors team could prove to be a tough out. Relatively speaking, of course; Toronto is still 17 games under .500. Orlando should roll.
Tip's at 7. Go Magic.
