January 2nd: Magic 86, Heat 76 | ||
I gotta be honest: the loss to Boston took a lot out of me, and I couldn't be arsed to write a decent preview for this game. You know what you're getting with the Heat: Dwyane Wade is going to do his everyman thing, and that's about it. They'll get something from Michael Beasley and Daequan Cook, though. Poor point guard and center play has really taken its toll on Miami. If the Magic consistently work the ball inside to Dwight Howard, as they should, given the Heat's dearth of big-man talent, they should win. Wade's going to get his. As long as Courtney Lee keeps a hand in his face, I don't care.
About the best thing the Magic can do is lay a big smackdown on the Heat, the way they did the Hawks two weeks ago. I'd like to see this team get amped up following a disappointing loss, and really take it to their division rival.
Tip's at 7:30 on FSN Florida, or NBA TV if you'd rather hear Miami's announcers. Go Magic.
