Schmitz: Turkoglu to Undergo M.R.I. on Injured Right Wrist

Hedo Turkoglu of the Orlando Magic charges into Jacque Vaughn of the San Antonio Spurs
Hedo Turkoglu explained his wrist injury to John Denton after last night's game: "Jacques Vaughn took that charge and I didn't want to fall on him. I tried to stay in but there was too much pain and I had to come out."

Okay, so Hedo Turkoglu hurt his right wrist last night in the Magic's game against the Spurs. Okay. That's fine. I can take it. No problem. Everything's okay.

Right?

Uh, not so much. Maybe. Brian Schmitz has this sobering update in his blog. Emphasis mine:

The [Magic] will have him undergo an MRI at 11 a.m. and then he will see a doctor.

Turkoglu, the club's go-to guy in a stellar season, doesn't believe he's hurt badly, but maybe that's a player's wishful thinking.

[....]

If anything is broken or torn, Turk could miss the rest of the season, playoffs included, spoiling a terrific year for himself and the Magic.

It's important to emphasize, however, that until Turk has that M.R.I. done, we don't know exactly what's wrong with him, so talk of him missing the rest of the year is premature. But it certainly doesn't look good.

No Hedo for the rest of the year? Apparently, it's a possibility. And, if that's the case, we're f---ed.
