"We’re 5-5 because we’re playing like (expletive) at home."
Not much to say about this game, as Stan Van Gundy pretty much nailed it in that quote. I have the game on the DVR, but knowing the outcome has deterred me from watching it, although I'll do it at some point. I'm disappointed that we're just 5-5 at home, frustrated that we've played such poor defense lately, and concerned that the Wizards are just three games back of us in the Southeast. And we can't continue to squander games when Dwight Howard goes nuts, as he did tonight: yet another 30/20 performance from the franchise center, yet another letdown from the team.
Rashard Lewis was a late scratch with neck pain that had bothered him since Monday. Maurice Evans started in his place and responded with 8 points on 3-of-11 shooting. 4 of his shots were blocked. How's that Ariza trade working out, Otis?
Not that I'm bitter or anything.
With Dallas, Houston, Utah, and Boston coming up, I'd say we're in deep you-know-what. I wonder if the Sentinel wishes it had saved the headline from Monday's loss to Atlanta -- HOME GROAN -- for tonight's game.
