Hey! Welcome to Third Quarter Collapse!
For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, here's what's up: a few weeks ago, Henry Abbott of ESPN.com's TrueHoop approached me regarding writing a few words about the Magic for ESPN.com's team-by-team previews. I accepted, and now, the preview is up. I'm in the 5th box, the one labeled "TrueHoop asks..." And I wasn't the only SBNation writer Henry approached for this project: Matt from BlogABull, Tom from Indy Cornrows, Wes from Mavs Moneyball, Fantasy Junkie from Golden State of Mind, Dave from Blazers Edge, and Tom from Sactown Royalty also contributed to their team's respective preview pages. Hooray for us!

On to actual Magic news: I was enjoying some time with my family earlier this evening when I learned that Rashard Lewis was in the starting lineup tonight for the Magic. The ever dependable John Denton filed the story at 12:43 this afternoon, when I was otherwise engaged. I don't like the idea of Rashard playing on a sore ankle -- and he even told Denton he didn't feel 100 percent -- but it is important for him to get a feel for the offense. Hopefully, he won't play more than 20 minutes. He needs rest for Wednesday night's season-opening game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
