The St. John's product was listed as DNP against the Bobcats on Friday, but the rookie played on Sunday against Dallas.

Rookie forward Maurice Harkless did not play Friday when his Orlando Magic hosted the Charlotte Bobcats, but head coach Jacque Vaughn called his number during Sunday evening's loss to the visiting Dallas Mavericks.

"When you see the game from a different angle, really, coming off the bench you can see how the game is going and make adjustments, you know, it's just I've got to stay ready for whenever he puts me in." Harkless said. "I'm comfortable out there, it's just a matter of staying ready for whenever coach decides to put me in."

Sunday, Harkless dunked three times for six points, hauled in four rebounds, and recorded a steal in 15 minutes of playing time.

"All the extra work I put in every day, I feel like I'm making a lot of progress."

Harkless says the transition from college ball to the pros hasn't been easy.

"That's the toughest part for me, you know, still trying to get comfortable because sometimes I don't know what to do." Harkless said. "In college I was always the first option [...] it's something I'm not used to [now]."
