Watch: Glen Davis beats first-quarter buzzer after Arron Afflalo steal

Glen Davis nailed a long two-pointer at the first-quarter horn Monday night to give the Magic a one-point lead against Golden State.

The Orlando Magic's 102-94 victory against the Golden State Warriors on Monday was a bit closer than the final score would indicate. Orlando led by one point after the first quarter and by four points after the second, but the Warriors tied the score heading to the fourth. Hot shooting from J.J. Redick helped the Magic build their lead to as much as 12 points in the final period, but for much of Monday's game it appeared as though each team had a 50-50 chance at winning.

In such a game, then, all of the little things matter. Little things like inbounding the ball with care, which Golden State forward Carl Landry neglected to do with 1.8 seconds remaining in the first quarter. After Nikola Vučević made a free throw to complete a three-point play, Landry tried inbounding to Draymond Green. He telegraphed the pass, however, and neglected to note Arron Afflalo's presence relative to that of his target. Afflalo batted the pass to Glen Davis, who scooped up the ball and fired in a jumper with his heels on the three-point line to turn a one-point deficit into a one-point lead.

Davis' shot gave the Magic five points in a 1.8-second span of game time and helped the visitors close the first quarter on a 7-0 run overall.
