With his Orlando Magic facing a four-point deficit against the Chicago Bulls and with less than a minute to play, power forward Glen Davis took a pass from Arron Afflalo at the top of the arc and, without any hesitation whatsoever, uncorked his first three-point attempt of the young season.

To perhaps no one's surprise, the shot didn't drop. The Bulls rebounded, killed some clock, and ultimately prevailed by a 99-93 final.

The shot prompted paroxysms of confusion throughout the Twittersphere, and with good reason: Davis was having a horrid game, shooting 7-of-21 from the floor before his three-point try, and is hardly a three-point shooter, having made just six in his five-year career.

Yet there he was, trying to connect from three to keep his Magic in the game.

Davis fouled out in 26 minutes, finishing with 16 points and a team-high-tying 10 rebounds. Chicago blocked five of his shots.
