Breaking News: Hedo Turkoglu is Not an All-Star

USA Today has the list of the reserves for the 2007-2008 NBA All-Star teams; Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu was not among the players selected.

The East will be represented by

  • Chauncey Billups
  • Chris Bosh
  • Caron Butler
  • Richard Hamilton
  • Antawn Jamison
  • Joe Johnson
  • Paul Pierce

The West will be represented by

  • Carlos Boozer
  • Steve Nash
  • Dirk Nowitzki
  • Chris Paul
  • Brandon Roy
  • Amare Stoudemire
  • David West

The only player on either team who doesn't deserve the honor is Joe Johnson. Turkoglu, Josh Smith, and Gerald Wallace are just three of the players who have had better seasons.

Poll
What do you think of Hedo Turkoglu not being on the All-Star team?
It's not fair; Turk's had a great season and deserved to be on the team.

It's fair; although he's putting up All-Star numbers, other players were simply better.

No, and the notion that he should be on the team is ridiculous.

Damn Ben.  I just commented over at PN how Hedo should have made it over J. Johnson and I come over here to see you say the same.

Re: Errie

I'll try to have more on this story tomorrow. Joe Johnson? Are you kidding?

Ridiculousness

Put me in the "Joe Johnson shouldn't have been in the All-Star Game" camp as well.  Joe Johnson isn't even the best player in Atlanta.  I still think that the David West selection was a little worse but at least it's understandable considering that the game is in New Orleans.

And for the record, I was torn between Hedo and Josh for the final spot but I gave the nod to Hedo.
