Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard discusses what this year's playoffs mean to him:
"I'm ready. This is what we've been waiting for; playoff basketball. It's time for us to really step our game up and try to build a legacy."
Well said. The Magic will indeed attempt to step of their game against the 6th-seeded Philadelphia 76ers, from whom they swept the three-game season series. So what specifically concerns the Magic about the 76ers? Here's point guard Rafer Alston:
"They're very energetic, very athletic. It's not going to be an easy task. But again we've got to be ready for it. They're a team that thrives in the open court and thrives off of other team's turnovers."
Indeed. Alston's backup, Anthony Johnson, agrees:
They are a team that takes advantage of turnovers. They like to get out and run. That's their strength. It's going to be important for us to take care of the ball and get good quality shots.
The Magic have high hopes this year, having won 59 games in addition to their second consecutive Southeast Division Championship. Now, their quest for the NBA title officially begins.
