A great article about how Vince adjusted his game to fit in for the Mavericks. Mark Cuban is quoted with effusive praise for Carter. A great read.

A write up about Wiggins, who continues to look like the next NBA SuperStar, but it included this interesting tidbit: "The person I follow is Atlanta Hawks GM Danny Ferry. Ferry is just one of a few NBA general managers in the building -- San Antonio's R.C. Buford, Oklahoma City's Sam Presti and Orlando's Rob Hennigan are also in the house, as are scouts from seemingly every team in the league." It's interesting to note that the Magic didn't just send scouts, but Hennigan himself went. Note the other teams' GMs on hand? Hawks, Spurs, and Thunder.

May as well post it here, too (this was originally posted in the Magic vs. Grizzlies Post Game Recap, in the comments section). This is a very interesting research paper presented at this year's MIT Sloan Sports Conference, which outlines a new way of quantifying a defender's interior defense. The user "3.3.seconds" gave a very interesting comment, saying that this method is not without its flaws. For instance, PF rate must be accounted for the amount of times a defender sends an offensive player to the foul line. Also, Andrea Bargnani (lol) is identified as elite in one of the metrics presented here... Enjoy!
After watching the Magic get crushed by the Kings tonight I put together this little page to quickly calculate when the game is completely out of reach. Someday it will be just as useful when the Magic are the ones doing the stomping. Update: I've now moved the site to its own more memorable domain and added some automatic score updating.
