What's Not Going To Happen

I know there has been many Armchair GM attempts over the past few weeks or so. How about one more before the draft tonight. It does include some similarities to the others. And also like the others, it has its red flags.

It's starts tonight w/ Orlando deciding to trade down and gain another asset and a veteran in the process. The Nuggets agree to send W. Chandler, J. Nurkic, with the 15th & 19th picks to move up to 11th pick along with N. Vucevic and maybe S. Napier in return.

The Magic then send the 15th to Boston for the 23rd, 31st, and 35th picks.

That's 6 picks, 19, 23, 31, 35, 41, 47. A lot, yes. I say go w/ D. Valentine, D. Jones, B. Johnson, T. Maker, C. Levert, K. Felder

In FA, convince 2/3 of the Gator guys, C. Parsons & A. Horford, FL is the place to be, AGAIN.

Trim the dead weight(CJ Watson, D. Marble, etc). Retain E. Ilyasova. Resign E. Fournier

V. Oladipo, E. Payton, K. Felder

E. Fournier, M. Hezonja, C. Levert

C. Parsons, W. Chandler, D. Valentine

A. Gordon, E. Ilyasova, B. Johnson

A. Horford, J. Nurkic, D. Jones, Thon Maker

Not a huge fan of Horford or Parsons, but they do bring leadership to this roster and likely places them firmly into the playoffs. The roster also holds a lot of untapped potential also, plenty of room for growth/improvement. This group provides a lot of versatility, athleticism, defense, shooting, rebounding, and just enough veteran leadership for Vogel to mold and work with. We can play big(Horford-PF, Nurkic-C), we can go small ball(both Chandlers w/ AG-C), and even have a lineup that consists of five shooters on the court. One last thing, this sets up a very interesting 2017 offseason, as there are a lot of moveable players that would allow Orlando to be in play for the top notch talent in that offseason.
