In case you hadn't heard, or you're still waiting for your dial-up connection to connect, Isaiah Thomas--the former Kings PG--is now a member of the Phoenix Suns. The deal was a sign and trade, sending Alex Oriaki and cash for Thomas who signed a 4 year, 27 million dollar deal. So, they're getting a 20 ppg scorer, and an improving playmaker for basically 7 million a year. Can I ask you all to explain to me why Orlando didn't pursue a similar type deal? There's talk around here and is evident by the spending spree that Orlando wants to start winning games. So why not spend it on a quality player like Thomas? Especially when we spend 4.5 million on a player who looked last year to be washed up.
