Why Orlando Should Sign Kirk Hinrich As Their Next Free Agent

There have been reports saying Orlando are looking for free agent point guards as of now. It seems that Rob Hennigan is almost done with his roster work, but just has one more piece he needs to put in the puzzle. My opinion? They NEED to sign former Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich.

He's an experienced veteran with a good head on his shoulders. That's all Rob Hennigan needs to hear to sign a player. Last season, Kirk Hinrich averaged 9.1 points, 3.9 assists, 1.1 steals and fortunately only 1.6 turnovers. He's a defensive minded guard who can really help us out. We could also sign him to a one year, 6 million dollar contract. Not too shabby.

Why else does this make sense? He could be our starting point guard, while he mentors Elfrid Payton and lets Victor Oladipo move to the two. Here's the potential lineup with Hinrich.

PG: Hinrich, Payton, Green

SG: Oladipo, Fournier, B. Gordon

SF: A. Gordon, Harkless

PF: Frye, Harris, Nicholson

C: Vucevic, O'Quinn, Dedmon

Not a bad lineup at all. So, overall, I just think Kirk Hinrich makes too much sense for us. Thoughts?
