I saw someone mention targeting Parsons in FA earlier, and the more I thought about it, the more I loved it. SF is arguably our weakest position, with the current projected starter being Maurice Harkless, bless his heart, or possibly an out of position Tobias Harris.
Parsons would fill out depth while providing a DESPERATE need of pure shooting. I may be wrong, but his shooting alone could do wonders for driving lanes and playmaking with the rest of this group.
Personally I'd feel also feel a little better about that "cap flexibility" we created by trading Afflalo if it was put to use in a move like this. It has been documented that the Magic was his favorite team growing up, Orlando his home town, etc. Any chance we could land him on a deal for 4 years, 8-9M per? At 25 years old he is one of the few players available that fits our timeline without requiring a max deal.
I for one would really like to see this happen. Please give your opinion on the impact of this move, or any others, in the comments section. What say you, OPP?
