My draft day dream scenario

First things first. With the #4 pick, we draft our Point Guard of the future. I've been a big Daunte Exum fan since I first saw him on youtube. He had a very impressive showing at the draft combine. Not only were his measurements great, his athletic performance was phenomenal. He ran a faster 3/4 sprint, than chris Paul, Stephen Curry and Damian Lillard. which is even more impressive given his gargantuan size. He also had the fastest lane agility time at the combine. and his standing vert was only 1" shorter than Aaron Gordon. and Oh, did i mention HE'S ONLY EIGHTEEN!! He might still be growing.

He was also very good in his interview. Has a great personality, very charismatic. Very Mature for his age as well. here's the link.

I love the way he compares his game to Russell Westbrook and Manu Ginobli. I think he has incredible potential as a playmaker. His lighting quick first step, combined with his great ball handling will make him very efficient at attacking the lane and breaking down a defense. He has been working out with a world renowned trainer ( who also trains Kobe Bryant ). He's already put on some substantial muscle to his frame. His work ethic, combined with his tools will make him a very special player. Picking #4 may be the best thing that ever happened to us. Hopefully he doesn't get snatched up in the top 3.

#2. We pull of a trade with the Charlotte Hornets for their pick. Charlotte is apparently very interested in not only Afflalo, but Jameer nelson as well. not only are aaron and jameer our oldest players, they have the two biggest contracts. If we can unload them, and snatch up the #8 pick, all while keeping the WoNK, we'll be hitting a grand slam homer!

I would draft Vonleh, Gordon or Randle with this pick. in that order. I worry about randles T-rex arms and pillsburry dough boy body type.

and with the WoNK I would select Nik Stauskas. I love his shooting touch and I have him over mcnuggets because he's much more athletic and a better playmaker. He's also a capable defender ( i think ). He also did well at the combine and impressed with his athletic ability. Maybe Zach Lavine here too. I like his skillset and upside.

Not only do we make off like bandits with 3 picks in the top 12, we dump jameers bad contract and solve the afflalo issue. We get the best PG in the draft, maybe the best power forward, and a lights out shooter.

What do you guys think? who would you pick?
