Question for Regulars of OPP

I think I've commented on these boards maybe 2 times...ever. I do, however, frequently read most of the content on the site. I've noticed a trend in terms of draft preference from some of the commenters. It seems as if most here would like to take either Wiggins, Exum, or Parker with our first pick. This is the part that confuses me.

Let's start with Wiggins. T-Mac 2.0. The guy is an athletic freak. Super long, and has demonstrated being able to completely dominate a game. Problem, to me, is his position. Oladipo is not an effective PG. Back to back top 3 picks (that's what it will take for Wiggins) for the same position? Sure, Wiggins could eventually move to SF but he's way too small to play it anytime soon. IMO, Wiggins shouldn't be considered.

Now for Parker. Parker is a true SF. I love his game. Again, the problem is position. Tobias Harris is our SF. He's young and he's shown a lot of potential. Do you give up on Harris and make him a 6th man to draft someone as talented as Parker? That remains to be seen. Then, there's the possibility of moving Harris to PF which I've seen a lot on here. But Harris is too small to play PF IMO. Could it work though? Maybe, but small lineups worry me.

Then, we have Exum. I personally think he is the best fit for our team. Nelson would be better coming off the bench and we have no other PG worthy of minutes after him. Spending a top 5 pick for an unproven foreign player has its own risks. IMO drafting Exum would mean another top 5 pick next year, but a Exum-Oladipo-top 5 SF pick would completely overwhelm teams in 2-4 years. I'd rather not wait that long for a decent team though.

Finally, the question I alluded to in the title. Why no mention of Julius Randle? If Parker is on the board, no way you pass him up for Randle. That I agree on. But, if we have the 4th pick and Parker is gone, why not Randle? We have absolutely nothing at PF right now and Randle looks like he's a potential top 5 PF in the league. We have a SG in Oladipo, a SF in Harris, and a C in Vucevic. Adding Randle would leave us a PG away from being very competitive.

My perfect draft scenario:

4th overall pick- Randle
13th overall pick and Aaron Aflalo traded for #8 or 9 pick.
8th or 9th overall pick-Smart or Ennis (personally prefer Ennis)

Thoughts?
