The Orlando Magic continue a brief homestand Friday when they host the Washington Wizards at Amway Center.
Tipoff between Orlando and Washington is set for 7:00 PM Eastern on Fox Sports Florida and ESPN 580 AM in Orlando. The Orlando Pinstriped Post GameThread will appear at 5:00 PM in this StoryStream and on the cover.
Orlando's last time out: The Magic dropped their fourth straight game Wednesday against the Denver Nuggets, squandering a 13-point lead against another lottery-bound team. Kenneth Faried scored a game-high 26 points just by playing hard, while J.J. Hickson added 20 points and nine boards off the bench. Arron Afflalo scored 18 of his Magic-high 24 points after halftime, but his resurgence wasn't enough to lift Orlando to victory.
Washington's last time out: The Wizards fell to 33-31 on Wednesday as they lost to the Charlotte Bobcats, 98-85, for their second consecutive defeat. All-Star point guard John Wall scored 23 points and dished four assists, but Washington managed to shoot just 42.7 percent against the Bobcats' stingy defense. Former Magic center Marcin Gortat added 12 points and 10 boards for the Wizards.
The last meeting: Washington lit up the Magic with 52.5 percent shooting on February 25th, winning by a 115-105 final. Trevor Ariza continued to punish his former team by shooting 5-of-5 from three-point range, scoring 22 points. Victor Oladipo scored 26 of his own for the visiting Magic.
