Chandler Parson's is having a breakout season with the rockets this year. He has all of the qualities that Rob Hennigan looks for in a player. He has great ball handling skills for a player his size. He has great versatility and can play multiple positions while defending the opposing teams best player. He is aggressive in driving to the basket and drawing fouls and can also sink the three.
questions of fit on our current roster is taken into consideration; but I feel his versatility to move around and play different positions overcomes this issue.
He is a very marketable player who can be a great face for our franchise moving forward ( think JJ with more height and a better all around game, lol). Not to mention the fact that he is from Orlando and still calls it home in the off season.
Orlando will have money this off season. there doesn't seem to be any huge free agents in this year's crop. I like Luol Deng he also has great versatility and can defend well. but I think he is too old to fit our plan and won't be worth the $10 million he will likely command in free agency. Chandler will get offered a similar contract in the ball park of $10 milllion +. I think think henni will make a strong play to sign him this summer.
I also like Lance Stephenson but I think the trade deadline deal that cleared the pacers cap room was made in part to allow them to resign him.
I would take either Lance or Chandler in a heartbeat. I think they are both great young players who fit our team well and will be worth the $10 million a year plus that they get paid.
Do you guys think these two players will be worth the $10 million plus they will likely sign for? and do you prefer one over the other?
