As October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month, the Orlando Magic have partnered with Florida Hospital to host their second annual "Pink in the Paint" night. The 2014 event is scheduled for Wednesday's preseason tilt against the Houston Rockets.
The Magic encourage their fans to wear pink to the game, and will provide the first 7000 guests with pink shirts to commemorate the occasion. Several breast-cancer awareness groups will have tables stationed at FanFest, located on Church Street before the game. In addition, the team will host a "VIP Pink" reception for more than 200 local breast-cancer survivors. Further, the team will honor four prominent survivors during a ceremony on the court between the first and second quarters.
