Bledsoe trade fallout! Where do Magic and Afflalo go from here?

I admit it I was rooting for a Bledsoe trade to the Magic. Possessing elite athleticism he always gave me a feeling that I had felt only when watching guys like Lebron. Saying that I was fully aware of the short comings and flaws in his game. Now that he is a Phoenix Sun it's time for us as a community to turn our focus to the next chapter of Orlando's rebuild.

With the Magic's drafting of Victor Oladipo and there proven track record for giving their young talent ample playing time we must look throughout the league for a future landing spot for Aaron Afflalo.

The Magic should be shopping for young assets on rookie contacts, draft picks or a combination of both. A young point guard prospect would be our primary target. In setting forth this criteria I found two franchises that could very well be our next likely trade partners.

The Detroit Pistons. Joe Dumars has amassed a war chest of cap space. With a young core and cash to burn they are in win now mode. They have been connected to free agents Josh Smith and Andre Iguodala. If they land Smith retain Point guard Jose Calderon their one glaring weakness appears to be at the wings. Enter Brandon Knight. Combo guard entering his third season he has played at both the one and the two spots displaying mixed results. His 36 minute averages are 15/5/4 with a poor assist to turn over ratio. He's raw but he's got talent. The Magic could provide fertile ground for him to hone his craft. Detroit also possesses two very ugly contacts on there books that they would love to jettison! The Magic could leverage their trade exception in such a scenario.

Proposed trade, Afflalo to Detroit. Brandon Knight, Charlie Villanueva protected 1st round pick to the Magic.

Well this went a little longer than I thought so I'll get back with part two where I'll focus on the Timberwolves. I would love to hear from the O.P.P. community on any trade scenarios they have for Aaron Afflalo?
