With the report today that Dwight called Lakers fans "Ungrateful" and "the most unappreciative group of people ever" after screwing them in every direction except towards the 2nd round of the playoffs and causing plenty of team turmoil, it reminded me of the days years ago when I used to bash him and get nothing but grief. I was told by just about everyone how wrong I was while many of you blindly defended the child. I questioned his mental make up, his leadership skills, his lack of heart or passion for the game, the fact that he's completely disconnected from reality as well as the fact that he is one of, if not THE worst teammate in the league
Oh the way that used to stir some of you guys up who would come back at me with "How do you know he's dumb as a brick" or "You don't know what's going on in the locker room" or the best and clearly most truthful one "You don't know that he's going to leave the Magic". The backlash I received for my 120% accurate and "ahead of the game" words almost drove me away from participating in commenting on here as I began to feel that the opinions of most commenters were so skewed and unified that it was worthless to try to convince them otherwise.
I knew I was correct then and with every continued misstep, failure and foot in mouth moment, Dwight helps my case. He's about to become the most hated man in LA the same way he did here. Did any of you NOT see that one coming as well? Soon he'll be taking his locker room cancer parade to a 3rd team which, just to give you a heads up, will also end very badly.
I know that now is not the best time for me to drudge up the past but this recent report about Dwight, as well as the others that will inevitably flood the sports new world over the coming months, further prove my ability to gauge and judge players personalities accurately. I'd say maybe next time you should heed my words but I'd imagine that after this Fan Post my account will magically disappear as it has twice before for simply having an opinion that differs from that of the masses. That has proven to be an issue in the past although perhaps the powers that be have reached a new level of enlightenment and debates without fear of banishment can be had. I'm sure I'll find out rapidly.
That being said I'm excited for tonight's draft. I know Hennigan will make the right choice. My pick is Victor Oladipo. I already feel good about his character and remember, I'm a good judge of that. GO MAGIC!!!
